Terms and Conditions
Article 1 – Purpose
1.1 Les Jeux au Château is a concept owned by SAS Château du Vot. These general terms and conditions apply to any contract for the provision of gaming spaces entered into between, on the one hand, SAS Château du Vot, and, on the other hand, the users of the room, hereinafter referred to as THE CLIENT, whether they have booked personally or are part of the team of the person who made the reservation, hereinafter referred to as THE RESERVER. The gaming room is referred to as THE ROOM, and the provision contract incorporating these general terms and conditions is referred to as THE CONTRACT. The RESERVER acknowledges and accepts full liability for the actions of any third party having access to the ROOM as part of their reservation, it being understood that these third parties will be deemed to be the CLIENT.
1.2 Les Jeux au Château reserves the right to modify or cause to be modified the terms and conditions below, including the contents of its website, at any time, at its sole discretion and without prior notice.
1.3 Les Jeux au Château's general terms and conditions of sale are available on its website www.chateauduvot.com or upon request.
Article 2 – Occupancy and Use
2.1 Games at the Château of SAS Château du Vot grants CUSTOMERS the right to occupy the ROOM for a period of 60 minutes and to use the reception area.
2.2 The sole purpose of occupying the room is to participate in a game organized by SAS Château du Vot.
2.3 To be admitted to the ROOM, the CUSTOMER must confirm the name of the RESERVER.
2.4 The CUSTOMER is at least 9 years old and must be accompanied by an adult player in the ROOM if they are under 15 years old. SAS Château du Vot reserves the right to request identification to verify the CUSTOMER's age.
2.5 The CUSTOMER shall ensure that the ROOM and its equipment are maintained in good condition and shall use it in accordance with the authorized use and the Contract. 2.6 The CLIENT undertakes to comply with these contractual provisions, as well as with all local and national laws and regulations, and other instructions from administrative authorities, as well as with the rules issued by insurers, where applicable.
2.7 The CLIENT is required to use the ROOM in such a way as not to cause or risk causing any damage to other users, the environment, premises, or equipment.
2.8 The CLIENT undertakes, for the duration of their presence on the premises of SAS Château du Vot, to behave responsibly, comply with the rules, and cooperate with SAS Château du Vot employees. SAS Château du Vot does not tolerate any kind of intimidation or harassment towards its employees. SAS Château du Vot reserves the right to take any measures to prohibit entry to its premises to any person whose behavior is not calm, particularly CLIENTS under the influence of alcohol or drugs, without this access ban entitling them to any refund or compensation.
2.9 The CLIENT may not bring any drinks, food, or animals into the ROOM.
2.10 The CLIENT hereby agrees that SAS Château du Vot cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the CLIENT to the CLIENT or another CLIENT.
2.11 Due to the nature of the game, no recordings may be made inside the ROOM. This includes (but is not limited to) the use of mobile phones, cameras, and recording devices (video and/or audio). The use of such devices in the ROOM is not permitted.
2.12 SAS Château du Vot expects its CUSTOMERS to refrain from disclosing game details, directly or indirectly, to the public. Any total or partial disclosure would violate the commercial interests of SAS Château du Vot.
2.13 SAS Château du Vot reserves the right to modify the game's scenario, elements, or settings without prior notice or information, and no claims may be made in the event of any modification to these.
Article 3 – Duration
3.1 The CUSTOMER agrees that the game will last a maximum of 60 minutes, whether or not they have successfully solved all the puzzles. Likewise, the user agrees that the game may end before the 60-minute mark if they have solved all the puzzles, without this entitling them to a price adjustment.
Article 4 – Website and Security
4.1 The website www.chateauduvot.com, hereinafter the WEBSITE, is owned and operated by SAS Château du Vot, which reserves the right to modify or cause to be modified the terms and conditions below, including the contents of this website, at any time, in its sole discretion and without prior notice.
4.2 The General Terms and Conditions of Use of the website www.chateauduvot.com apply to the use of the website by all visitors and must be read carefully before use.
4.3. SAS Château du Vot strives to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information on its WEBSITE.
4.4. SAS Château du Vot shall not be liable to any person for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including (without limitation) loss of profits or revenue, loss of opportunity, cost of replacement goods or services, or loss or damage due to data or business interruption, arising from any use of the WEBSITE.
4.5 The trademarks and logos displayed on the WEBSITE are the property of SAS Château du Vot. No one is authorized to use them without the written consent of SAS Château du Vot; any unauthorized use constitutes a violation of SAS Château du Vot's proprietary rights.
Article 5 – Reservation
5.1 The availability of a ROOM is subject to reservation and prior payment.
5.2 The reservation is recorded by the RESERVER on the WEBSITE www.chateauduvot.com, subject to availability.
5.3 In exceptional circumstances, if the RESERVER is unable to book online, SAS Château du Vot staff may record the reservation online on the RESERVER's behalf. The RESERVER hereby accepts that this type of reservation does not entail any liability on the part of SAS Château du Vot or its staff, as SAS Château du Vot staff act only as data entry operators on the RESERVER's instructions. The RESERVER hereby waives any recourse due to misuse, breach of confidentiality of their data, or fraudulent use of their account. 5.4 Only persons 18 years of age or older may make a RESERVATION.
5.5 A registered reservation cannot be cancelled, modified, or refunded except as otherwise provided on the WEBSITE.
5.6 A reservation is only registered and final once it has been paid. A reservation option email is sent to the email address provided by the RESERVER when the RESERVER is unable to book online themselves and instead uses SAS Château du Vot staff to make their reservation. This email cannot be considered a RESERVATION but constitutes only a RESERVATION option until the RESERVER has paid their RESERVATION. SAS Château du Vot staff reserves the right to cancel any unpaid RESERVATION option.
5.7 A reservation is not transferable to another RESERVER. However, the reservation will be honored and access to the room will be given to CLIENTS if the RESERVER notifies in advance and in writing of his absence and indicates the name of the person who will replace him on the day of the reservation, including for the payment of additional amounts (change of group size, room, drinks, etc.) which will be paid on site.
5.8 Reservations may not be transferred or resold for commercial purposes, or as a gift or commercial promotion. If a reservation is transferred or resold in violation of this condition, the holder of the reservation or the person claiming the right to attend the event will be refused admission.
5.9 In the event of a CLIENT being late for a reserved session, the CLIENT will decide whether or not to begin the game. In all cases, the ROOM must be vacated by the time specified in the initial reservation. SAS Château du Vot reserves the right to refuse access to CLIENTS who arrive more than 30 minutes late. Under no circumstances may the CLIENT or the RESERVER request a full or partial refund.
5.10 SAS Château du Vot reserves the right to change the allocation of the ROOM in the event that the reserved room is unavailable, without the CLIENT being entitled to claim any refund.
5.11 SAS Château du Vot reserves the right to cancel a reservation without providing a reason. Cancellations made solely by SAS Château du Vot will result in a refund of the reservation price, excluding any other amount that may be claimed for damages or otherwise.
Article 6 – Prices and Payment
6.1 The price of a reservation is indicated on the WEBSITE under the reservation section and displayed at the ROOM reception desk, in euros including tax, for a 60-minute period of use of the ROOM.
6.2 Any other service will be subject to an additional charge.
6.3 The price is set based on the number of people on the same team (the maximum number depends on the game and is indicated on the WEBSITE) and the date and time.
6.4 SAS Château du Vot reserves the right to modify its prices at any time; however, the service will be billed at the rate in effect at the time of booking.
6.5 Only credit card payment is accepted on the WEBSITE. If the BOOKER is unable to pay by credit card, they must present themselves at the reception desk to book and pay by check, credit card, or cash (euros).
6.6 Full payment is required at the time of booking.
6.7 In the event that fewer CUSTOMERS than at the time of booking show up to participate in the reserved event, the price difference will not be refunded.
6.8 If more people show up than the number of players who paid at the time of booking, the price difference must be paid before participating in the game, up to a maximum of nine players allowed per ROOM. 6.9 SAS Château du Vot reserves the right to refuse any reservation from a RESERVER who has not paid for all services invoiced.
Article 7 – Personal Data
7.1 The RESERVER is responsible for the accuracy of the information entered on the online reservation form.
7.2 The RESERVER and/or the CLIENT who enters their telephone number on the website www.chateauduvot.com hereby agree to be contacted by SAS Château du Vot or any other group company by telephone or text message.
Article 8 – Safety Measures
8.1 The CLIENT undertakes to comply with all safety measures provided to them, whether contractual, posted on site, or provided orally by SAS Château du Vot staff.
8.2 Smoking is expressly and strictly prohibited inside the site.
8.3 Each CLIENT undertakes to read and comply with the safety and fire protection instructions.
Article 9 – Photos
9.1. Photos of each team of CLIENTS may be taken before or at the end of the game. These photos will be made available to the RESERVER via its public platform. SAS Château du Vot cannot be held responsible for the use made of them by the RESERVER.
Article 10 – Applicable Law – Competent Courts
These general terms and conditions and any contract entered into incorporating these terms and conditions are governed by French law, and all disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
